Since joining Fujitsu Robert has gained extensive experience of business development comprising a number of areas as described below.
A key part of any project/programme delivery is the management of change and the potential to “upsell” or develop additional business. On every project Robert has managed, he has delivered significant “upsell” and business value for customers in the process.
Robert has been responsible for creating several new product and service offerings within Fujitsu including content management and business objects solutions. He created the literature, engaged the various vendors and suppliers and marketed the ideas to customers, following through with successful engagements and delivery projects in most cases and resulting in additional revenue growth for Fujtsu.
As the most successful strategic bid manager within Fujitsu (Ireland), Robert has played a key role in some of the largest deals in recent years. He has a reputation for producing high quality proposals and presentations and is regularly called upon to assist with bids and pre-sales initiatives for customers.
When Robert fulfilled the role of Services Director for Fujitsu (Ireland) on a strategic / Tier 1 account, leading a team of approximately 40 – 50 people in the delivery of ICT services and support for a major government department as part of a 2-year service contract, Robert initiated an ‘innovation’ service for the customer, bringing together the newest thinking, tools, practices and methods from Fujitsu locally and abroad as well as engaging with existing and new suppliers/partners in order to propose new and innovative solutions to his customer which would deliver real business value.
